Jacqueline Orr RSW RGI
Jacqueline Orr studied at Glasgow School of Art where her tutors included Barbara Rae, James Robertson and Jack Knox. She did further study at the University of Glasgow where she achieved an MSc in Information Technology. She has won several awards since her graduating in 1983, on graduation she was honoured with the Armour Prize for Still Life Painting. The James Torrance memorial prize followed in 1995 from the Royal Glasgow Institute and in 1996 she was given the Armour Award. 2008 she won the Alexander Graham Munro Award, from the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour, 2009 The Joe Hargan Award from Paisley Art Institute and also in 2009 the Riverside Gallery Award from the RSW. In 2007 Jacqueline was elected a member of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour (RSW) and 2013 was elected a member of the Royal Glasgow Institute (RGI).
Jacqui is a regular exhibitor at all the Scottish Institutions and having built a following she is a regular exhibitor at commercials galleries in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Gullane, the Cotswolds, London, France and South Africa
