Carrara Marble on Limestone base
16 x 12 inches
Mainly carving marble, limestone and slate Brunton Hunter produces highly finished pieces which although simple in form, many create a visual and tactile puzzle, in an effort to illustrate a continuity of line and form.
Since 2004 he has exhibited regularly in the Royal Glasgow Institute and Visual Arts Scotland annual exhibitions as well as the Royal Scottish Academy; his work has been regularly shown in Compass Gallery, Glasgow, Jerdan Gallery, Crail and several public open air exhibitions. His work can be found in private collections both in the UK and USA.
Brunton was chosen to participate in the 'Waymerks' project in which sculptural pieces were installed along the length of the Southern Upland Way between Cockburnspath on the east coast and Portpatrick on the west coast of Southern Scotland.
