Jack Morrocco 2014
SOLO EXHIBITION 11 May - 1 June 2014
Born in Edinburgh in 1953 into a richly artistic family. From an early age Jack frequented the studios of his artist uncles’ Eric Auld and Alberto Morrocco absorbing their working practice. At seventeen Jack attended Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art studying under Jack Knox, David McClure and Gordon Cameron. He was one of twelve art students selected for a residency at Hospitalfield House in Arbroath. Here he met and was tutored by pop-artist Peter Blake, already well-known for designing The Beatles Sergeant Pepper’s album cover in 1967. This meeting was to greatly influence Jack’s approach to painting and inspired his studio still life painting. We are proud to be hosting our second solo exhibition in Wimbledon Village. We look forward to welcoming you.
