Dominique Cameron

We are delighted to welcoime talented new young artiist Dominique Cameron for the first time, at the Stafford Gallery.

She attended Napier University, Edinburgh 1989-92, on graduation she received a Distrinction in B.A Photography. Also the Agfa bursary and was a Final year Award Winner (Hamilton-Tait Award).   2013- 14  she attended Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee completing an MFA in Art, on graduation she  received the Society and Publics Award for outstanding academic achievement.

As an artist Dominique is interested in mapping. Her practice has evolved to include drawing, painting, text, performance and film. She is currently exploring how walking and the experience of landscape is brought together as a form of map to travel through, to tell the story of a journey and as performance with writer and musician Rebecca Sharp on a site specific project in Fife.

Dominique works with Fidra Fine Art, Tatha Gallery, Whitehouse Gallery and Wall Projects in Scotland.  

She was selected for the VAS Reverb exhibition 2022.
